I had very similar problems with the driverguide toolkit.
I used it when i upgraded from windows xp to vista home.

It crashed the whole system, I aked for help just like angry did and got almost the same reply accept mine was not so polite.
I complained to the webmaster and got no reply at all just my post deleted from the help forums.

I had problems with the driveragent from the same site that just locked vista up had to push the restart button.

I really don't understand why a company would sell you a product with their name on it like the "driverguide" toolkit then refuse to support it.

I found what i was after here, All i wanted was to get my webcam working again so I am happy this site is around to clear up the mess of others.
keep up the good work davey6 your site puts others to shame.
I feel the same as you if your company name is on the software you should support it ,
its a bit like microsoft saying well you bought windows and thats it tough.

in all fairness to driverguide the? ? driveragent software is made by touchstone so really its touchstone that support that one if you paid for it then you should really get your money back.

i have always found that the simple way works best download a program such as everest.

call up what your looking for all be it motherboard, video , e.t.c and use that info to go looking for your drivers.
programs that offer you a quick way out such as that toolkit or driveragent can make matters worse.

as i said before politeness cost's nothing rudeness cost's you members, in all the time i have been doing driverboards i think there is only one person that i really slagged off and biggles should remember him.
just in case he don't i will just drop a hint 4U
even then he was not banned or deleted.
to some mods and admin the delete and ban options in these baords are a bit like a fart button in the hands of a two year old,

your lucky the site is still here as two days ago i was sitting with my finger over the delete button as my host was playing silly buggers and getting right up my nose, but after reading something like that reminds me of the reason for setting the site up
