Thank you davey6. This thread allowed me to install a Solid State Disk in the HP dv2550se. Windows 7 was a little doggish on this dual 1.5 Celeron. Again, thank you for your help. Good work on this thread!

yes windows 7 is a piggy when it comes to hardware.
all Celeron chips struggle as they lack the side cache of a normal intel chip.
the Celeron served well over many years and now its been replaced with the i3 /i5 range of chips.
out of all the chip range intel have done the Celeron was around the longest.

Hi, I see that there is a zip file entitled satadriver.zip which I believe is for the Intel 82801 HEM/HBM Sata AHCI controller. Does any-one know if this will apply to any laptop [mine is a Toshiba Satellite U300] when re-installing Win XP ?

trying to find that tosh laptops main specs. i think its running the intel 965 chipset and the most up to date sata drivers for that can be found here.

hi!i have the same problem,i want to downgrade from windows 7 windows Xp but i cannnot find my Sata driver!i have an Hp Pavilion dv6-2119el!!!!Processor Amd Athlon II dualcore 320M!!!!i need help please!!!

can you double check that model number please as i can't find it listed at HP
if you turn the laptop upside down you will find it full number on that base sticker.
