Good post, Davey. Also, look carefully at driver updates that Microsoft may try to install on your system. I have an ATI X1950 video card in my Vista rig that Windows Updates loaded a new driver on...

Same thing I've noted - not just the any cd - slower is always better - but the red ones read better on slow scan when I rip them in Sound Forge. Red needs absorbed to write - notice that most good...

You have good reason to snap-crackle-pop at 41, Davey, and we're glad you still do. Me - it's just accumulated damage, rust, and age on the body and chassis... ...sometimes I think my 21-year-ol...

I would too, if they'd buy me a decent laptop with good audio to interface with a p.a. system. They won't. These situations often require vari-speed and other DJ type stuff, and a traditional srtup - ...

Googled a lot of pages about this theory I have, and not getting very satisfactory answers. As some of the crew here knows, I'm an audio tech at work (state goverment theater and live sound), and I cr...

Looks pretty good to me. And as Davey said, looks like the XP drivers are available, and I would also get the Audigy audio.

Was looking at the specs on this HP dv2550se model, and noticed it has s-video and a monitor out, besides the lcd screen. Could be it set up the external video feeds as a separate driver set.

Reading along here - I'm wondering what you are trying to do with this Hitachi DVD-ROM GD-5000. It's a DVD/CD reader, not a DVD burner, at least according to the manual I downloaded.

PX200's are what the joggers like with their ipods - fidelity is good - kinda light, but sturdy. If you can wait on the Grados - I'd personally get those - earpieces on the PX200's are small for me
