windows 7 getting a beating
#1
oh dear me , looks like microsoft have done it again.

been watching the uk news today about windows 7.
alot of experts and IT companies are refusing to change over from windows xp to windows 7 till windows 7 can prove its better then vista.

problem is most people think windows 7 is vista and they are right it is.

this is the sort of feedback i have been watching most of the day.

my view on this has not changed, if your pc is working fine under windows xp and your happy with xp don't bother to upgrade.
putting windows 7 monster on a older machine would be a big mistake.

like i said nothing really new in windows 7 we have seen it and heard it all before from micosoft about faster o/s safer o/s e.t.c
the test is not on new install's of windows 7 give that o/s 8 months of running on a machine and then see if it runs as fast.

the fastest o/s i ever used belonged to the amiga, yes that old. back in 1992 they had a part hardware based boot rom.
load cold to working o/s on a hard drive on what was then a 14hZ cpu with 2meg memory was 25 seconds.

and that was the first machine i ever put on the net as well, yes i have been on the net that long back then a super fast brand new top of the range 9600k modem
was the best you could get
