Hi,

I've tried to upgrade my internet with a new hub for faster speed, only 2 be told that i'm missing a Newtwork adaptor.

The only one that shows up is in device manager is 1394, or thomson ST Remote NDIS Device when my old hub is plugged in.

Any help on how get my new hub workin would be much appreicated.

Thanks Claire.

from what i can see at HP this pc has a 10/100BT network interface which should auto load with windows xp.

Its a basic first sort of lan port and its a bit slow to today's standards.
however you should still be able to use a lan cable from that port to your new router.

you can try loading this driver and see if it calls the port up correct in device manager.

with the program running .
look in the left hand list for network.
click the little + next to it
then click pnp/pci network

everest will list all network cards in your pc that it can find.

it is the part of the nforce chipset as i was just reading over at HP

you can try this set of HP drivers which should slove this problem.
if it don't look in the unpacked sp number call up the lan then load it from device manager.

one other thing please make sure your lan is switched on in your bios or windows won't even know its there.
