Conexant Cx20585 @ATI SB800
Hi, I've just downgraded a Toshiba C650D-11K from Windows 7 to Windows XP.
I Installed everything, no problems, but I can't find the audio drivers :/

This is the audio card:
ATI SB800 - High Definition Audio ControllerHDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_14F1&DEV_5069&SUBSYS_1179FDE4&REV_1003

Help me, please!
the correct driver for that laptop model is listed on the uk site.

this is the sound card driver listed.

Hey thanks for that I have kind of the same situation but my laptop is Toshiba C645D-SP4007L

I downloaded the Driver Davey6 posted but the setup program says no device was found.

Should I force the driver installation? or there might be another problem

In case it helps my latop works fine with Windows 7 its a third party software I need that does not have win7 support and does not work under a virtual machine.

Thanks in advance for your help.
forcing the windows 7 driver may not help.

what version of windows or linux are you trying to load this driver on ?

VM machines can be a real pain in the butt when it comes to drivers, even if you have the correct drivers for the hardware i have seen
case's where a VM machine won't load them.

if you give me the device id string of the soundcard i will check with microsoft database and see if they have any drivers.
Hey Dave thanks for answering,

Sorry forgot to mention I am using Windows Xp, the Id string is this

Hey Dave,

I Found the drvier this is the link Grin

thanks a lot for your help,

thanks for posting that i am sure some members will find it of use.

as a side note this is listed as the Conexant Pebble High Definition SmartAudio.
being HD sound you will need to load up the microsoft UAA driver first in order to get it running under windows xp.
I downloaded the Driver Davey6 posted but the setup program says no device was found.
if the setup is not running it maybe because of the following errors

chipset driver has not been installed.
you have not updated to sp2 for xp
Microsoft UAA driver is missing.

its impossible to help anyone when they don't tell me what o/s they are running.
