that's a older msi motherboard and it had two numbers the one you listed and the retail name msi k8m neo-v.
looking at msi the onboard audio on that motherboard is in fact realtek AC97 and not the via.

download the drivers direct from realtek so you know your getting the most up to date ones for windows 7
as that is a older board I have pointed you to the 32bit drivers as I would think that's what you need.

Ps,the motherboard has 64 bit, with AMD processor.

hum trying to think here, Everest home would name that sound card for me but I am not sure that program is still on the net
as its old and I need a older one for a older motherboard, I am sure I have it on a memory pen and I will look for it later today.
if I find it I will upload it to my site and you can download it and then I can tell you how to use it.
that will pinpoint the sound chip for me and I can then search for the correct driver.

ok found everest home for you, took me a while as I had to check most of my older hard drives
this is how you use that program.

fully unpack the zip file and then install the program.

with the program now running, look in the left hand list for mutimedia click the little +
next to it and then click pci/pnp audio
in the large box it should list what sound cards are on that motherboard.

you can also double check your motherboard number by doing the following.
click motherboard in the left hand list, in the now large box click motherboard again.
everest will give you a breakdown of your motherboard as well as its full make and model number.

if you can post that info back here i can then check up for possible drivers for you
