Downgrade HP Pavilion dv9000 Vista to XP problems
#1
Hi bought this HP laptop a few days ago :

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/produ...28&lang=sv&

It is a dv9645eo

with Windows Vista Premium pre-installed, I removed Vista as dumb as I am without thinking about wich drivers I need and so on, now im totally without drivers on it, I read about UAA and Conexant drivers and now only my sound works. really need help for all other drivers.

well you main chipset is just listed as nforce chipset , that could be just about everything.
now as you have the geforce 8400m i would think its the later " 6 " series so try this set of drivers.
try nvidia when they are back online they are down at the moment.
www.nvidia.com/support

you need nforce 630i drivers.
i will post a link for that later tonight if they get back up.

the following drivers will need to be loaded
card reader http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softw...28&lang=en

bluetooth http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softw...28&lang=en

modem http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softw...28&lang=en

wifi http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softw...28&lang=en

quick launch keys http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softw...28&lang=en

make sure you load the nforce chipset driver before anything else.
the main problem is going to be your geforce card a little hard but not impossible.
once the main chipset driver is installed try the mod drivers from
laptop2go http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/
or the omega drivers http://www.omegadrivers.net/

if after that lot your still missing anything look at a early dv9000 range for more possible drivers.

Big thanks to you, but now for the biggest problem, I got everything working but the "Ethernet Network Controller" my wireless is working, I found a graphic driver and when im making a smart scan at NVIDIA homepage on my motherboard it says:

Product: nForce 630M

Current
Installed Driver: --

Recommended
Driver: Your PC currently has the latest driver installed for your motherboard. No driver update is necessary at this time.

Edit: forgot that I installed this chipset driver: http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_630i...16.08.html
Did I install the wrong one?

the Ethernet controller is sitting in the unpacked nforce files.
look in your c drive for c:/nforce630i

open that folder and you should see the Ethernet / lan card
copy that folder over to your desktop then use device manager to install it.

right click on the problem lan , go down to properites ,
now click details tab.
please post the full id string as listed by windows and i will search it for you and see what info i can find.

now my eyes hurt Slap

from what i have just been reading and it was alot that device seems to be used in the nforce 630A and 780i chipsets.

download those two driver sets from nvidia.
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

rip the lan card driver from the driver package and try the install from device manager.
i will rip the drivers for you if you run in to trouble.

ok i have ripped both driver sets for you.

please download this zip file
http://www.davesdrivers.com/nvidianetworks.zip

fully unpack that folder and you will find both ethernet drivers listed.
try and load them from device manager.

that file will remain live for 24 hours then i will lock it out.
if anybody else does wish to try these drivers please post a request and i will unlock it as needed.
its just to stop the bots hardlinking and over running the site.

Thank you very much, I've downloaded it.. I will test it this week and come back with results :)

I am sorry to say its my host screwing up the file,
you will have to keep trying to download it till you get the full 30meg.

it would seem that are now limiting the sites downloads on top of all the other rubbish i have had to put up with this month.
i know the file is all there and it does work as i just uploaded a clean copy of the zip file.

did notice the download speed of the site has dropped from 400kb/sec to 30kb/sec i think i will have to phone them for the third time today and shout a bit more. Eek

go in to device manager, right click on one of the cards and disable it.
one will give you full display modes and switch over to video out the other will not.

keep the one that does everything and leave the other one disabled till a new intel driver comes out.

I really don't know what you mean, but I tested to go to device manager then right clicked Network E..controller.. and I tested with both maps and neither one of them worked :S it is an "dv9645eo" you know wich nForce it is in it?
